National training platform (aetraining.ae):
In December 2019, a national training platform (aetraining.ae) was launched for UAE nationals. The aim of the platform is to qualify 18,000 individuals for the UAE job market in the next three years and improve their skills in specific sectors which include: customer service, real estate, oil and gas, electrical and mechanical engineering, retail industry, etc.
The duration of the training programme is between three and six months, and the trainees will get a certificate from the training institutes that are approved by Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE).
Emirati job seekers and those who wish to change their career path can access the portal and register to get the training programme they need.
This initiative is sponsored by MoHRE and the Higher Colleges of Technology. It is part of the implementation of the 10 strategic resolutions adopted by the UAE Cabinet in September 2019 to support Emiratisation.
Virtual Labour Market:
Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has launched a new version of the electronic platform - 'Virtual Labour Market', to enable job seekers inside and outside the UAE to search for a job in the UAE. The platform enables job seekers to register their CVs and companies to announce vacancies.
Enabled by the artificial intelligence (AI) system, the platform matches the requirements of the jobs announced by the UAE companies with the job seekers' profiles in an interactive manner. Recruiters can search for qualified candidates by creating their own page to display their vacancies and also by searching the website for job seekers. This way, it helps both, the recruiters and the job seekers to find what they are looking for.
Online portal for Emirati freelancers:
AEFreelancer.ae is an online interactive platform that connects skilled Emiratis who wish to freelance for organizations in the public and private sectors. The initiative aims to support the UAE's Emiratization goals, especially for those Emiratis who live in remote areas. It was launched by Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) in coordination with Emirates Foundation (Shabab) and Federal Youth Authority in February 2020. Emiratis wishing to freelance must be at least 21 years old.

Several job fairs are held in the UAE. They provide job seekers with the opportunity to get to know participating organizations, their roles and job vacancies within. These are particularly good for fresh graduates as it helps them to decide on the industry in which they could build a career. Job fairs also offer networking opportunity for jobseekers.

Look through classifieds:
Job vacancies are posted in the classifieds section of online and print publications. Almost all newspapers have a classifieds section. The job vacancies are posted in both, online and print editions. In the UAE, newspapers are published in several languages. English and Arabic are the main languages.

Recruitment agencies:
You can send your CV to licensed recruitment agencies in the UAE. The agency will contact you in case there is a job opening suitable for your qualifications and interests.
Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation grants licenses of recruitment agencies to UAE citizens only.
Job seekers are not required to pay money to any recruitment agency as the onus to pay such fees lies with the employers.

Tips to land a job:
- 1- Start with an impressive cover letter and an honest CV.
- 2- Keep your CV updated.
- 3- Be diligent and regular in searching. Do not give up mid-way.
- 4- Check for the email ID from which you receive job offers. It should reflect the domain name of the organization.
- 5- Do not pay. If the hiring company or the agency asks you for money to process the visa or medical test, it is not a genuine company.
- 6- Learn Arabic. Knowledge of Arabic (at least speaking) would be an advantage.
- 7- Keep yourself updated about your field of work.
- 8- Be realistic about your earning potential.
- 9- Grow your network.
