Required documentation for passports:
Issuance of a passport for the first time:
- 1- Two (2) new color photographs
- 2- Copy of identity card
- 3- Copy of the Family Book
- 4- Copy of passport of father
- 5- The presence of the father to sign
- 6- Copy of a birth certificate or an age estimation.
Renewal of passport:
- 1- Two (2) new color photographs
- 2- Copy of identity card
- 3- Expired Passport
- 4- The presence of the father.
Note: For passports issued from another Emirate, a copy of the Family Book is required. The wife who wants to obtain a passport as her father's family book, to bring a copy of the family book of the husband and father, with the written consent of the husband.
Issuance of a passport (Replacement for a Damaged):
- 1- Two (2) new color pictures
- 2- Copy of identity card
- 3- Copy of the Family Book
- 4- The presence of the head of the family.
Note: Review with the Naturalization investigation
Issuance of a passport (Replacement of lost):
- 1- Two (2) new color pictures
- 2- Copy of identity card
- 3- Copy of the Family Book
- 4- Loss of notification from the Directorate of Police
- 5- The presence of the head of the family
- 6- Provide a return ticket, if the loss was outside the State.

Family Book
Statement of Marriage (a couple of citizens):
- 1- Four (4) personal photos of the husband
- 2- Photo identity card of the husband and wife
- 3- Original family book for parents of the husband and wife
- 4- Summary replica of the new marriage contract
- 5- Certification (if more than before (6) months from the date of the marriage contract must be brought in the continuity of marriage from the court)
- 6- Copy of passport of the husband and wife
- 7- Copy of birth certificate of the husband and wife
- 8- Certificate of the work of husband and wife or the continuity of study for those studying
- 9- Last qualification for the husband and wife.
Add a Citizenship Wife:
- 1- Copy of identity card for the husband and wife
- 2- The original Family book for husband
- 3- The original Family book of a wife's father or the Family book of her, if she has a separate Family book
- 4- Wife's passport
- 5- Summary replica of new marriage contract Certification (if more than (6) months from the date of the marriage contract and must provide the continuity of marriage from the court)
- 6- Copy of a wife's birth certificate
- 7- Last qualification of wife.
Add a foreign wife:
- 1- Four (4) personal photos of the wife and the presence to sign
- 2- Copy of identity card for the husband and wife
- 3- The original Family book
- 4- Work Certificate of husband's or proof from the Court that he is not working.
- 5- A certified copy of the marriage contract, if it is within the State if the contract is from outside the state must ratify the contract from foreign affairs and bring the continuity of the marriage from the Court
- 6- Copy of wife's passport + residence page
- 7- Copy of passport of wife's parents
- 8- No Objection from the armed forces of one of its members
- 9- Wife's birth certificate
- 10- Copy of identity card of her home country
- 11- Last qualification of wife.
Wife is Citizen and husband is (foreigner or from the Gulf Cooperation Council):
- 1- Four (4) personal photos of wife and the presence to sign
- 2- Copy of identity card for the husband and wife
- 3- Original Family book of the father's wife
- 4- Copy of wife's birth certificate
- 5- Work Certificate, if she is working
- 6- A copy of last qualification of wife
- 7- Copy of husband's passport + certification work, if he works within the State
- 8- A certified copy of a marriage contract, if it is within the State if the contract is from outside the state must ratify the contract from foreign affairs to bring the continuity of marriage from the Court.
Note: If the husband is foreign, he must bring:
- 1- Wife pledged not to demand nationality of the husband and the sons' from the Court
- 2- Proof of the criminal status of the husband
- 3- Copy of passport + residence page
- 4- Separation under those above (30) years
- 5- Four (4) personal photos
- 6- Copy of identity card
- 7- Original Family Book for ahead of the family (the father)
- 8- Statement from the court, if not married.
- 9- Copy of Birth Certificate
- 10- Copy of passport
- 11- Certificate of work and the last qualification
- 12- Acceptance letter from the guardian.
A statement of divorce (divorced is a citizen):
- 1- Four (4) personal photos of the divorced and a copy of her father's Family Book
- 2- Copy of identity card
- 3- Presence of the divorced with the original family book.
- 4- Copy of divorce certified from the Court
- 5- End of the legitimacy period.
- 6- The original passport for divorced
- 7- Copy of birth certificate of divorce
- 8- Copy of work certificate and last qualification for the divorced.
- 9- A Statement from the court not returned after the legitimacy period, if divorce has went more than a year.
A statement of divorce (absolute foreign):
- 1- Copy of ID card
- 2- With the presence of the husband's original family book.
- 3- A copy of the divorce instrument certified by the Sharia Court
- 4- End of the legitimacy period.
- 5- A copy of the passport after the cancellation or transfer of residence.
Statement of the death:
- 1- Bring original ID card
- 2- Bring Original Family Book
- 3- Original Passport
- 4- A copy of death certificate.
Add a newborn baby for a citizen's mother:
- 1- Copy of ID card
- 2- Original Family Book
- 3- Copy of birth certificate
- 4- Copy of the marriage contract, if it was firstborn.
Add a foreign-born mother:
- 1- Copy of ID card
- 2- Original Family Book
- 3- Copy of birth certificate
- 4- Copy of the marriage contract, if it was firstborn
- 5- Copy of work certificate of husband (and if he works with the armed forces to bring a letter of no objection from the employer).
- 6- If the wife is not added in the family book,she must bring a copy of her passport.
